Far Out

Characters:
Johnny- The far out kind of kid that has hair bigger than his heart. Always arriving late to things. Over taken by the smell of drugs and cigarettes
Karma-The Girl with hair that goes past her butt. And glasses the size of grapefruits.
Billy- The guy that listens to rock music and always has a pound of gel in his hair. Yet has the sweetest heart you could ever find on the west side of California
Sharon- The animal protester. That marches through all of down town screaming “They need their fur more than we do”
Katrina- The ditsy Rich, that has an Ego bigger then California
(Everyone is standing in their own clicks, chatting with their friends. Its 2 days away from the Prom. Johnny was talking to his friend Billy, about who he wants to take to the prom)
JOHNNY
Dude, Prom is only 2 days away and I still don’t know which one of these… so called “Girls” I want to bring with me to be my knock up bud…. I mean date.
BILLY
Man, you shouldnt treat them like that. You would be lucky to even get a date for Prom.
JOHNNY
Damn, with looks like these, who wouldn’t want to go to Prom with me?
BILLY
Oh… So I’m guessing that the scruffy bum look is in style these days?
JOHNNY
Ha, better then the slick back look, with a pound of jell in my hair. (Moves hair from his eyes) You don’t have a date for the Prom anyways, so why you all up in my grill?
BILLY
Well actually, I was thinking of asking Katrina to Prom (Points to a girl that was standing across the hall, twirling her long blond hair, and popping a big bubble gum bubble)
JOHNNY
HA, you’re funny. You wouldn’t be able to get a date with her in a million years. (Wipes his eyes from laughing so hard)
BILLY
Just you watch me!
(Billy walks slowly, with no confidence at all to Katrina. He clears his throat.)
BILLY
Umm... hi...umm Ka-Katrina… (Billy taps her on her shoulder)
KATRINA
Like OMG , you scared me. (She said this as she was popping a HUGE bubble right in his face)
BILLY
Oh, I’m... I’m sorry… I just wanted to ask you if… if you had a date for Prom?
(Billy lowered his face so he didn’t have to look at her while he was talking)
KATRINA
Oh, ha… you don’t know like how many guys have asked me that question today. It’s like more then I can count. Probably more than like how many fingers I can hold up (She holds up 7 fingers)
BILLY
Oh… I see
KATRINA
But if you could like… convince me why I should let you take me, and then I would totally be all up for it
BILLY
Oh well umm... I love long walks on the beach. Watching any kind of movies. Love Italian food. And I have a black Mazda Miata.
(Katrina opens her eyes really big, and Makes her mouth into a big O shape)
KATRINA
Ooo, you have a black Mazda Miata!?! (She squeals) I’ve always wanted to ride in one of those. I think i will totally consider going to Prom with you.
BILLY
Oh, ha okay. Well, when you make up your mind… call me. (Billy scribbles down his number on a piece of paper and slowly hands it over to her)
KATRINA
Oh my gosh! Wait, I like almost forgot to ask for your name.
BILLY
Its Billy… Billy Johnson.
KATRINA
How cute! Welps... I’ll give you a call later okay Chris
(Katrina walks away with a little hop in her step.)
BILLY
It’s…Billy (He whispered under his breath)
(Next day at school, Billy was telling Johnny how last night Katrina called him, telling him that she was going to go to Prom with him)
BILLY
Man, I swear… that girl is a babe in person , but damn you should hear her over the phone. Its like a thing of Angels
JOHNNY
Come on dude, why do you have to keep getting all mushy like that on me.
BILLY
Well if you had someone like her, you would get all mushy too. So, did you ask anyone if they wanted to go to Prom with you?
JOHNNY
Psh… course, I asked Karma and Sharon. Two people, from two very different clicks. So they will never find out that I asked both of them. So now I got two people to go to Prom with.
(Billy’s eyes got really wide)
BILLY
MAN, YOU ASKED TWO GIRLS? YOU’RE ONLY SUPPOSE TO ASK ONE!
JOHNNY
Dude, chill your sack. I know what I’m doing. And by the end of the night… I’m going to get a little something out of both of them.
(Johnny smiles his yellow teethed smile; obviously he’s been still smoking. He looks over to a girl that had long hair that was in a braid. She was wearing a pair of hammy down jeans, that you could obviously tell were to big for her. She looked over at Johnny and blew him a kiss)
KARMA
I LOVE YOU JOHNNY BABY !!!
(Karma said this as she was pushing her glasses closer to her face)
JOHNNY
(Johnny coughs while looking away) Um… Yea… I love you too Karma.
BILLY
Did you really mean that??
JOHNNY
Course not, you don’t have to mean it, it’s just words.
BILLY
Man, you’re Geeked up.
(That’s when Billy and Johnny saw Sharon, Johnny’s second date walk up. Sharon went up to Johnny and kissed him lightly on the cheek.)
SHARON
I can’t wait for Prom tomorrow babe, sounds like we’re going to have fun.
JOHNNY
I know right, sounds like a blasti-blast.
(Johnny slowly turns around and came face to face with Karma, and let’s just say, she was not a happy camper)
KARMA
Yea, umm… I thought we we’re going to go to Prom together…. Johnny.
JOHNNY
Oh crap, I mean umm wait what?
KARMA
Oh come on, stop lying you Irresponsible Delinquent Nitwit !
SHARON
Johnny, I thought you were taking me to prom?
KARMA
Um… yea, NO! Hunny, he told me he was taking me! So why don’t you just go and start another useless animal protest
SHARON
Animal protests aren't useless, thank you very much! And I don't want to go with him anymore anyways. So you can have him doll face!
JOHNNY
Hey, I got an idea… how about us 3 go together. Then after that, we could get a motel room and….
(Karma and Sharon cut Johnny off)
KARMA AND SHARON
Like we would go with you now! You’re nothing but a player!
(Karma and Sharon walked away)
(It was finally Prom night, and Karma, Sharon and Johnny all didn’t have prom dates. Johnny and Billy were talking in the hallway about their plans for later that night)
JOHNNY
Man this sucks! Now I don’t have a Prom date at all
BILLY
Ha, well I was trying to tell you it was going to blow up in your face, but did you listen? Nope. No one ever listen to Billy
JOHNNY
Dude, you can just shut your mouth. At least I’m not going with a ditz like Katrina
BILLY
Hey! That aint cool. I'm happy that I'm going to Prom with Katrina. She"s got to be the Hottest one in this school.
JOHNNY
Ha, speaking of the devil, here she comes right now.
(Billy turns around and sees Katrina walking his way)
BILLY
Hey gorgeous, can’t wait for tonight
KATRINA
Umm yea… about tonight, I think I’m like actually going to go to Prom with Tommy Summers, I mean like he has a black Murcielago. And I'd rather show up to Prom with something like that, because it matches my dress better.
BILLY
Wait what? But I had everything set up, I had just put more gas in my car, I had bought you a corsage, I had that 5 start restaurant down town on hold, just for us. We had our very own table right next to the lobster tank!
KATRINA
Yea, but have you seen Tommy? He’s like way gorgeous. But hey, maybe I will see you around sometime Chad.
(Katrina turned around and walked away)
BILLY
IT’S BILLY!!
(Right before the Prom Billy was texting Johnny)
BILLY
Well now I kno not 2 ask out ppl like Katrina again. That wuz sum HARSH stuff. I pretty much spent all of my $$ on her 2.
JOHNNY
Ya, I mean, wuts wrong wiff ppl in this country? I think askin 2 gurl out 2 Prom has gotta be the best idea ever lol
BILLY
Lol.. Ya ur one of a kind Johnny ;)
JOHNNY
Ha why thank ya. But wut r we gunna do now? I mean its Prom nite & we got nothin 2 do...
BILLY
How bout this. U come over & we get a large pizza and sum hot wings from domino's and we play sum Medal of Honor Relaunched?
JOHNNY
Hell ya due. Sounds good to me. B rite over.
BILLY
Peace
( 20 minutes later Johnny was over at Billy’s house playing Medal of Honor as they were waiting for their pizza and hot wings)
BILLY
Man this is soooo much better then going to the Prom
JOHNNY
Yea, I mean now we can do what ever we want. And were not getting taken over by some girls
( Just then Billy’s phone started to blurt out Love Song by Taylor Swift)

JOHNNY
Yo! Twinkle Toes, you gunna get that?
(Billy looks at his phone and noticed that it was Katrina that was calling him, so he answered it)
BILLY
Hello?
KATRINA
Oh hey Billy… umm well like here is what happened, Tommy and I were driving to Prom, but then his car like exploded the engine or what ever. So do you think you can come pick me up and we can like go to Prom together like we were planning?
(Billy didn’t know what to say, because she already broke his heart once and ditched him, plus he already made plans with Johnny. So with out thinking Billy pushed the End button and shut off his phone)
JOHNNY
Who was that?
(Billy looked quickly back at the screen where it showed him getting shot by a guy hiding behind a bush, then looked quickly back at Johnny with a sly smile on)
BILLY
Umm… wrong number...
