A different World
I walk slowly into the cold room
Licking my lips impatiently
Wondering what I’m going to find
It smelled like a Doctor’s office
I looked over to the right...
What’s this?
NO big pencils?
NO cubbies?
I noticed something on the wall though
Are those the letters of the alphabet?
And… the numbers?
Oh yes, they looked very familiar now
I looked over to the whiteboard
Sci-en-ce?
What’s that?
It sounds like some kind of
Torture chamber?

Then it happened
The door opened up quickly
With a swish!
Then a lady
Taller than me of course
Walked in
and the first thing she said was
Welcome to 1st grade.

Although misspelling it might be purposeful because the speaker is just entering first grade. If you wanted to go in that direction I would purposely misspell other words that a kid wouldnt know but not to the point where its unreadable.
Could be interesting.
